Gluten-free basics (US)

"Gluten-free" labels can be helpful, but always read the ingredient list—especially for sauces, seasonings, and snacks.

What to look for

  • Wheat is a Big 9 allergen, so it’s often disclosed clearly.
  • Watch for barley/rye/malt and ingredients derived from them.
  • Cross-contact warnings are voluntary—consider your sensitivity level.

*Best-effort based on ingredient text. Always verify packaging for the latest information.
